Service Work


When a ship breaks a window, it needs a fast response!
At South Coast Marine Glass, we pride ourselves on customer service with a 24/7 response.  In-service work also includes:
  • Replacing broken mirrors/sneeze guards/doors/screens
  • Fitting cabin & bridge blinds
  • Applying window film
Our work ethic demonstrated:
1.  A leading Ferry operator sustained a broken fire-rated window during a night crossing.  The call was made to our West Sussex base on Saturday at 0815.  One of our technicians met the ship 120 miles away at 1400 that day.  The broken window was made safe, a steel blank fitted & measurements taken for a new unit.

2.  A ferry suffered a small fire, breaking an aft facing bridge window and door glass.  SCMG Technicians were on-board the same morning, fitted temporary glass and supplied compliant glass 48 hours later.

3.  A VLCC had a delaminating heated Bridge window. Our Technicians met the ship at Southampton, the glass was surveyed and ordered; the new glass was forwarded to another port of call and the glass fitted by the crew.
